Supporting the development of youth enterprise in Mexico and internationally

18-24 September 2010, Mexico City. Hosted by Jóvenes Empresarios por Mexico (JEMAC)

Youth Business International will hold its sixth biennial conference in Mexico City in September 2010.

The conference will be hosted by Jóvenes Empresarios por Mexico (JEMAC) and will be a major event, both in Mexico and internationally, in the movement to combat the youth employment challenge.

This unique week long event will:

Create benefits for young entrepreneurs in Mexico and the rest of the world
Some of the world’s leading youth enterprise organisations will gather to discuss the latest approaches to supporting young entrepreneurs through access to credit and volunteer business mentoring.

Convene international public sector and business sector speakers to address the youth employment challenge
A special one day event will bring together YBI’s Global Forum on Youth Entrepreneurship and JEMAC’s Evolución to show why youth entrepreneurship is an important challenge and how JEMAC is tackling the challenge throughout Mexico.

Help to build a culture of entrepreneurship in Mexico
Publicity from the week’s activities – which will coincide with the Bicentenary of Mexico – will raise the profile of the importance of entrepreneurship in Mexico.

Promote the micro/small business sector
The YBI Entrepreneur of the Year awards ceremony will show how young entrepreneurs around the world are contributing to economic development and will aim to inspire more support for young people wishing to start up their own business.
