Andrew is CEO of YBI and leads the global network’s efforts to help more young entrepreneurs start up in business. He is an expert on youth entrepreneurship and works closely with YBI members on issues such as resourcing, operations and governance. He focuses on the strategic development of the network and initiating and managing complex multi-stakeholder relationships. Prior to joining YBI, Andrew spent 18 years in investment banking, most recently as a managing director at Goldman Sachs.
Diane is responsible for the expansion of the YBI network across Africa, MENA and Europe. As an Executive Director, Dianne also supports the development of YBI Strategy and represents YBI in speaking at global events. Previously, she has worked for NGOs and in global investment banking for 20 years.
Andrés leads YBI's Youth Entrepreneurship Programme, in Latin America and the Caribbean and is based in Bogotá, Colombia. He started his management consulting career at McKinsey and Company and has worked as a top executive at TechnoServe,
Rohati heads up the Partnership and Programmes Team, which manages YBI’s global portfolio of youth entrepreneurship programmes for our corporate and institutional partners. Rohati works with YBI members to achieve global impact for young entrepreneurs. Previously Rohati worked at PwC Consulting and brings 14 years’ experience of strategy development and programme implementation across the public, private and not for profit sector.
Sarah leads the Network Strengthening team, and is focussed on supporting the work of YBI members across their activities and strategic development. Prior to joining YBI Sarah pursued a career in international development, working with organisations like Unicef and Save The Children, she also spent three years living and working in South East Asia
Reuben Alexander Saxon
Reuben leads the expansion of the YBI network throughout Europe, Asia and the USA, and is engaged in the development of strategic partnerships globally. He represents YBI at speaking events, most recently at the United Nations Conference for Trade and Development Expert Investment Meeting. Prior to joining YBI, Reuben worked as a consultant within Accenture’s global strategy practice.
Katharina is YBI’s Accreditation Manager and works together with our members, assessors and Accreditation Committee to assure that the accreditation process runs smoothly in order to strengthen and sustain the quality and integrity of YBI members. Previously she worked in global investment banking.
Ewan leads Communications and is responsible for the digital and design output of YBI. He also works on key campaigns including Global Entrepreneurship Week and the Young Entrepreneur Awards. Previously, Ewan worked for a range of International Development organisations and he is Co-Director of Wax Lyrical Technology, a consultancy offering infrastructure support and media training to small charities.
Jonny is an analyst within the Network Resourcing and Sustainability team, working mainly on major multi-national private sector, and public-private sector initiatives to raise resources for the YBI network. He scopes new funding sources, project manages resourcing plans, and supports the on-going development and design of partnerships. Prior to joining YBI, Jonny worked as a Sustainability Consultant for Europe’s market leading energy consultancy firm.
Hoang-Anh is responsible for building, coordinating and supporting the YBI global mentoring network. She works to improve the effectiveness of member organisations and to ensure learnings are shared and that best practice is applied. Hoang- Anh is an active mentor in the local community and a trustee of a primary school in Kenya.
Jonny’s role is to oversee YBI’s Salesforce implementation, which is used by members as well as by the network team in London. He also looks after the day-to-day management of the network team’s IT. Previously, Jonny worked as a Program Manager in development of financial applications at Microsoft, and as a Solution Architect in IT service outsourcing at Hewlett Packard.
Alessandro's current role at YBI is to support existing members in the use of Salesforce and implement our OMS sysytem for new Members. He has worked in the charity sector as a Salesforce administrator for the past 10 years and most recently at Barnardo’s, a leading UK children’s charity.
Chris is responsible for managing and developing YBI’s global training offering, and facilitating knowledge sharing on training matters between YBI’s members around the world. Prior to joining YBI, Chris worked for a number of charities and NGOs around the world in a training, education and skills-development capacity. He spent nine years living and working in East and Southeast Asia, holds an MA in Intercultural Communication, and speaks Japanese and German.
Matt supports YBI members globally, working with them to use technology to further their goals. Prior to joining YBI, Matt worked for major UK international development charities such as the Fairtrade Foundation and the Network Organisation Bond. Matt has a BSc in Computer Science from Manchester University and an MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies. He is also a Director of Performers Without Borders, an international development charity.
Rowena is part of the Partnership Programmes Team responsible for the delivery and development of our corporate partnerships, specifically working with the BG Group and JP Morgan. Rowena has 10 years’ experience managing multi-country, multi-million pound projects and business development activities in governance, private sector and rural development programmes globally. Prior to working with YBI Rowena worked at a number of international development focused consultancies both in the UK and abroad.
Beatrice is the Office Manager and is responsible for the day to day smooth running of the office. She started her working life as a young entrepreneur selling goods to family and friends in Nairobi, Kenya. Prior to joining YBI Beatrice worked in the private sector for a number of years and more recently has undertaken voluntary charity work in the UK.
Meagan works in the Partnerships and Programmes team at YBI managing some of our key corporate partnerships, including Barclays and Accenture. Meagan’s previous experience includes being a news- and features journalist, political liaison, and a History and English teacher.
Lauren ensures the smooth running of day to day finance activities in YBI, ensuring robust finance policies are in place and collaborating with budget holders and senior management to ensure finance requirements are met. She supports the Head of Finance in aspects of key grant administration and audits. Prior to YBI, Lauren taught English in Japan. She is fluent in Chinese and Japanese.
Chris is the Grant Finance Officer at YBI. Chris works closely other teams and YBI members to ensure that our financial reporting of Grants and Partnership is donor compliant. Chris joined YBI from WWF where he was previously a Programmes Accounting Executive
Andreea’s role is around communications for campaigns and partnerships, focusing on the value YBI members bring to the network and featuring the young entrepreneurs they support. Prior to joining YBI, Andreea has been working in international development with particular focus on youth empowerment, within the UN and civil society organisations.
Beth is currently responsible for the development and delivery of our partnership with USAID in the Eastern Caribbean. Beth has field experience in Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Kenya, where she worked with a variety of donors and partner organisations to deliver rural development programmes. She has also coordinated a multi-million pound water, sanitation and women’s empowerment programme.
Andrea Dalla Palma
Andrea is responsible for the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning of the Youth Entrepreneurship Program for Latin America and the Caribbean and he is based in Bogotá. Prior to joining YBI, Andrea was in charge for the monitoring and evaluation of the projects funded by Barrick Mining Company within its CSR strategy in Peru. Previously, he has worked for NGOs and private companies in Italy and other countries.
Giancarlo joined the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team to manage the learning process of a portfolio of projects, and to assist in monitoring the capacity development of YBI members. Prior to YBI, he worked with grass-roots organisations in Brazil for six years and in the youth sector in the UK with one of YBI’s partners for the past four years. He holds a master’s degree in Human Rights and is fluent in five languages.
Linsey is Executive Assistant at YBI, contributing to the smooth running of the organisation. Linsey’s role has three main components; providing executive support to the CEO, company secretariat duties and supporting member accreditation, relationship management and performance management. Linsey holds an MSc in Global Transformations from Loughborough University and prior to joining YBI she worked in the private and public sectors, working with young people interested in entrepreneurship.
