TresDe Arquitectura, Mexico

Supported by: Jóvenes Empresarios por México (JEMAC)

Driven by a concern for the environment and his lifelong fascination with structural design, 32 year old Jorge Alberto Noverón quit his job at Telmex and applied for a loan from JEMAC to start up TresDe Arquitectura, an architectural firm that makes use of environmentally-friendly products.

Jorge has built houses, offices, pools, town houses, residential blocks, schools, and gardens incorporating green roofs, rainwater tanks, energy efficient light bulbs and many other green initiatives.

Jorge sets himself apart as an entrepreneur through his willingness to use new techniques. He has successfully introduced advanced design methods into his section of the Mexican architecture industry. By convincing clients of the value of his ideas Jorge is able to offer a more flexible design service which results in savings for his customers, and the environment.

Jorge has created full time work for eight young architects, aged from 20 to 25. He also employs additional staff on a project by project basis, taking on between 20 and 40 people, depending on the size of the construction work.

One of Jorge’s priorities is the welfare and development of all his employees. This extends from offering flexible hours and business training, to ensuring rigorous safety provisions on all construction sites.

Jorge has supported JEMAC through various events, giving testimony about the benefits he has received and about the great support that mentoring offers to a young entrepreneur.
