  • Andrew Devenport

    Andrew is CEO of YBI and leads the global network’s efforts to help more young entrepreneurs start up in business. He is an expert on youth entrepreneurship and works closely with YBI members on issues such as resourcing, operations and governance. He focuses on the strategic development of the network and initiating and managing complex multi-stakeholder relationships. Prior to joining YBI, Andrew spent 18 years in investment banking, most recently as a managing director at Goldman Sachs.

  • Dianne Cornes

    Dianne heads the Network Members team, responsible for all aspects of membership of YBI, including membership structure, member relationship management, member programmes, quality assurance and accreditation, and the expansion of the YBI network to new countries. She works closely with members on strategy, programme design and resource raising. Prior to YBI, Dianne worked with two international NGOs following a 20 year career in investment banking.

  • Jonny Elliot

    Jonny’s role is to oversee YBI’s Salesforce implementation, which is used by members as well as by the network team in London. He also looks after the day-to-day management of the network team’s IT. Previously, Jonny worked as a Program Manager in development of financial applications at Microsoft, and as a Solution Architect in IT service outsourcing at Hewlett Packard.

  • Matt Morris

    Matt, as Head of CRM for Members, leads a team that helps YBI members further their mission through the use of appropriate technology. Prior to joining YBI, Matt worked for major UK international development charities such as the Fairtrade Foundation and the Network Organisation Bond. Matt has a BSc in Computer Science from Manchester University and an MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies. He is also a Director of Performers Without Borders, an international development charity.

  • Beatrice Njoroge

    Beatrice is the Office Manager and is responsible for the day to day smooth running of the office. She started her working life as a young entrepreneur selling goods to family and friends in Nairobi, Kenya. Prior to joining YBI Beatrice worked in the private sector for a number of years and more recently has undertaken voluntary charity work in the UK.

  • Meagan Rees

    Meagan works in the Partnerships and Programmes team at YBI managing some of our key corporate partnerships, including Barclays and Accenture. Meagan’s previous experience includes being a news- and features journalist, political liaison, and a History and English teacher.

  • Chris Massey

    Chris is responsible for strengthening relationships and promoting exchange between YBI members around the world, as well as overseeing various aspects of YBI’s network membership. Prior to joining YBI, Chris worked for a number of charities and NGOs around the world in a training, education and skills-development capacity. He spent nine years living and working in East and Southeast Asia, holds an MA in Intercultural Communication, and speaks Japanese and German.

  • Katharina Gammon

    Katharina is YBI’s Accreditation Manager and works together with our members, assessors and Accreditation Committee to assure that the accreditation process runs smoothly in order to strengthen and sustain the quality and integrity of YBI members. Previously she worked in global investment banking.

  • Chris Clark

    Chris is the Grant Finance, Planning & Performance Specialist at YBI ensuring our financial reporting of Grants and Partnership is donor compliant as well as strengthening planning and performance within YBI. Chris joined YBI from WWF where he was previously a Programmes Accounting Executive

  • Andreea Bordei

    Andreea manages and delivers communications capacity development services, focusing on enhancing the communications function within YBI member organisations. She also manages communications for partnerships, focusing on promoting the value of multi-stakeholder partnerships for sustainable development. Prior to joining YBI, Andreea has been working in international development with particular focus on youth empowerment, within the UN and civil society organisations.

  • Andrea Dalla Palma

    Andrea is responsible for the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning of the Youth Entrepreneurship Program for Latin America and the Caribbean and he is based in Bogotá. Prior to joining YBI, Andrea was in charge for the monitoring and evaluation of the projects funded by Barrick Mining Company within its CSR strategy in Peru. Previously, he has worked for NGOs and private companies in Italy and other countries.

  • Jonathan Thomson

    Jonny is an officer within the Fundraising team, working mainly on major multi-national private sector, and public-private sector initiatives to raise resources for the YBI network. He scopes new funding sources, project manages resourcing plans, and supports the on-going development and design of partnerships. Prior to joining YBI, Jonny worked as a Sustainability Consultant for Europe’s market leading energy consultancy firm.

  • Giancarlo Angelucci

    Giancarlo joined the Evidence and Learning team in 2015 to manage the learning process of a portfolio of projects, and to assist in monitoring the capacity development of YBI members. Prior to YBI, he worked with grass-roots organisations in Brazil for six years and in the youth sector in the UK with one of YBI’s partners for four years. He holds a master’s degree in Human Rights and is fluent in five languages.

  • Alessandro Iaconi

    Alessandro's current role at YBI is to support existing members in the use of Salesforce and implement our OMS system for new Members. He has worked in the charity sector as a Salesforce administrator for the past 10 years and most recently at Barnardo’s, a leading UK children’s charity.

  • Fearchar MacLean

    Passionate about entrepreneurship, Fearchar supports a variety of functions within the Network team, including Network Expansion, Fundraising and Network Member Management. Fearchar, previously worked in a project management role within the public sector and is an English Literature graduate from the University of East Anglia.

  • Tytus Simmons-Fenton

    Tytus is responsible for implementations and on-going support change projects on Salesforce and OMS for YBI members, supporting the internal YBI Network Team with their Salesforce and OMS change projects, contributing to the global roadmap. Tytus discovered Salesforce through an apprenticeship provided by Skills for Growth and the Salesforce Foundation. This opportunity opened the door to his experience working as a Consultant at Tquila, a Salesforce Platinum Partner acquired by Accenture and Contractor prior to YBI.

  • Carol Appel

    Carol is responsible for managing and developing YBI`s global training offering and facilitating knowledge sharing on training matters between YBI`s members around the world. Prior to joining YBI, Carol worked for Aliança Empreendedora, YBI`s member organisation in Brazil, for 10 years - supporting low income entrepreneurs in the field and developing and systemising entrepreneurship training methodologies. Carol holds an MBA in Business Management, an MBA in Group Dynamics, and speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish and German.

  • Kay Ali

    Kay is responsible for heading up the development of global partnerships at YBI, with new donors including institutions, corporates and leading foundations as part of the Fundraising and Communications team. Previously, Kay has gained extensive experience in developing and delivering successful funding partnerships, marketing and monitoring & evaluation across the charity, NGO and public sector for nearly 15 years. Kay holds a BA (Hons) degree in Politics and an MSc in Migration. She also undertakes a number of voluntary roles including with a food bank charity, local community group and advisory board membership at the School of Business and Management at Queen Mary University of London.

  • Sophia Greeley

    Sophia is a member of the Evidence and Learning Team and supports our members to develop monitoring systems and conduct evaluations for their entrepreneurship programmes as well as building the evidence base of what works in youth entrepreneurship. Previously, Sophia has led fuzzy set analyses of WFP food assistance and international earthquake response and coordinated the first national perception survey of young people in Sierra Leone for UNDP. She speaks four languages and has an MSc in European Public Policy.

  • Christina Kappaz

    Christina leads YBI's regional Youth Entrepreneurship Programme in Latin America and the Caribbean. She brings 25 years of relevant experience to her role having worked in both the public and private sectors focusing on economic development, building the Latin American investment ecosystem, innovation and importantly entrepreneurship. Christina has contributed to several significant publications, serves on a number of Boards, and has an extensive track record in planning and organisational development, delivery of facilitation and training services, and undertaking of evaluation and feasibility studies.

  • Tatiana Herrera Rusinque

    Tatiana manages the Finances and Administration of YBI's regional Youth Entrepreneurship Programme in Latin America and the Caribbean. She comes from a family of entrepreneurs with more than 50 years in the Colombian market. Prior to joining YBI, Tatiana was the Procurement Specialist for a public program funded by the Interamerican Development Bank in Colombia. Previously, she has worked for the Multilateral Investment Fund, part of the Interamerican Development Bank group, for seven years.

  • Cathrin Sarll

    Cathrin heads the Programme Delivery Team and is responsible for overseeing programme strategy, development and delivery. Cathrin has over ten years of programme and senior leadership experience within the NGO sector, gained in the UK and overseas. She has previously worked in Sierra Leone as Country Director for Restless Development, in Burundi for Quaker Peace and Social Justice and most recently as the Head of Christin Aid in Wales. She speaks four languages and is currently studying part-time for a MA in Peacebuilding and Reconciliation.

  • Lucy Wray

    Lucy, part of the Network Expansion Team, conducts research and outreach to new partners across the world in order to expand the scope and scale of YBI’s valuable work. She has a background in youth work and international development, having previously worked for VSO, Y Care International and Muslim Aid.

  • Jo Gray

    Jo is our Head of Mentoring with a long history in the field and a genuine belief in the value of mentoring to affect change in both individuals and more broadly in society. She was previously Principal Consultant for Clutterbuck Associates, a recognised thought leader in the space and has been involved with over 60 mentoring programmes and counting across a range of sectors. Jo has a particular interest in using mentoring for women’s development and gives her time to supporting Kerning the Gap’s mentoring scheme for women in the design industry.

  • Kaniksha Varma

    Kaniksha is a Finance Manager at YBI working closely with Jodi, Chris, Beatrice & Linsey. Kaniksha has over 3 years' finance experience gained in commercial organisations working across both the Financial and Management accounting functions. More recently, Kaniksha travelled to Thailand to volunteer to teach children in local schools.

  • Joshua Robinson

    Josh is Network Members Officer; working within the Network Members Team. Josh works closely with both Chris on member knowledge & KPIs and with Katharina on YBI’s accreditation. With a background in analytical roles, Josh brings data collection & analysis skills and customer service experience to the Network Members team. Josh is an active volunteer at two London charities and also has a history of international development research through his Human Geography studies at Newcastle University.

  • Catalin Parascan

    Catalin is our Digital Communications Manager, working within the Fundraising and Communications Team. Catalin manages all of our digital communications channels, focusing on driving brand strengthening and securing firm positioning in the sector. Before joining YBI, Catalin has been working in the third sector with particular focus on youth development and social entrepreneurship delivering youth-focused campaigns and events. Previously, he co-founded two social enterprises and has worked in the private sector as an e-Learning consultant.

  • Charné Tromp-Ahmed

    Charné is YBI’s Digital Community Manager working across the Evidence & Learning and Technology teams to strengthen our online engagement with members. Charné manages the YBI Network Community, our online platform where members can connect, share and learn. Prior to joining YBI, Charné gained significant experience in the private sector working in South Africa and the UK, with particular focus on PR, communications and social responsibility.

  • Jessica Greenhalf

    Jessica is Director of Learning and Influence at YBI, overseeing the Evidence and Learning and Communications Teams. She is responsible for creating the culture, structures and capabilities to drive learning across the YBI network. She also leads on the network's engagement in global campaigns and advocacy. Jessica has over ten years’ experience in the non-profit sector in a variety of roles. She has worked for Restless Development as Country Director in Uganda, for Plan UK on their youth portfolio, and most recently for Bond in their Effectiveness team. She holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics.

  • Hannah Leyro Diaz

    Hannah is Director of Finance and Operations at YBI, overseeing the Finance and People teams. She is ACA qualified having studied whilst working at Deloitte, before moving into the charity sector. Hannah has considerable experience in charity finance and operations, having worked at Amnesty International and Prostate Cancer UK. She is experienced in strategic financial planning, systems development, and people management. Hannah speaks Spanish, and holds a postgraduate certificate in Global Development Challenges from the University of Edinburgh.
