YBI member learning and collaboration events

As a YBI member, you will have exclusive access to sector-leading experts, practical information on cutting-edge innovations in entrepreneurship support, and up-to-the-minute research and learnings to inform your work - all alongside opportunities to showcase your best practices and make life-long business partnerships and friends along the way.

YBI’s learning and collaboration series is our ongoing calendar of events where members can book the sessions most relevant to their needs. These exclusive opportunities are a key benefit for our members, helping them to continually improve and develop the services offered to young entrepreneurs.

Relevant sessions are open to mentors and young entrepreneurs supported by YBI members.

The learning series consists of a variety of activities:

  • Monthly Learning Labs - every month you will hear from experts and members about new ideas or initiatives.
  • Member-led sessions - YBI members present their own Learning Labs, sharing their experiences and knowledge with the network.
  • Flagship courses - currently these are our SOS Mentoring course aimed at mentors and our Growth Performance Skills sessions for young entrepreneurs. More will follow soon, so be sure to check back here for updates.

All links to register are below, so please go ahead and book your place. We will also be staying in touch with regular updates on what’s coming up, so to make sure you’re on our mailing list please register by sending an email to members@youthbusiness.org.uk.

All the trainings and sessions in this calendar are exclusive for YBI members, so please be sure to fill in the name of your organisation when you register to confirm attendance.

We look forward to seeing you over the course of this year!

It’s important for both experienced and newer mentors to consider the key mentoring skills needed to really bring out the best in the mentee. Through practical exercises and working in smaller groups attendees will have opportunities to practice those skills.

GPS Training (Growth and Performance Skills) – Training of Trainers

In 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, YBI has taken its soft skills curriculum online, creating the GPS Training (Growth and Performance Skills) for entrepreneurs.

After delivering this training to 7 cohorts with 300+ participants from all around the world, it is time for interested YBI members to deliver the training directly to the entrepreneurs they support.

As part of the GPS Training of Trainers, you will go through the training as a participant (if you haven’t done so before) and join additional sessions to learn ‘behind the scenes’ and how you can translate, adapt and use the materials locally.

Date: 20th April – 27th May
