Dominica Youth Business Trust (DYBT) was launched in 2004 to assist young people (aged 18-35) who want to start their own business but do not have access to the support to do so.
DYBT's purpose is to empower Dominican youth to realise their entrepreneurial potential by facilitating access to financial, technical, and social assistance geared towards the development of viable businesses, thereby contributing to the growth and development of the local economy. They do that by providing an in-depth training course to help young entrepreneurs navigate the many challenges of setting up a new, or strengthening an existing business.
DYBT is an initiative of the Commonwealth Youth Programme (CYP) and the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica, with support from the Organisation of American States (OAS) and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB).
